Thirty years after the school closed ,the OGs club house and sports facilities still exist.  The club house is on the left side of Oxford Street as you drive into the town.  It provides a range of  pleasant  meals at a low price and the beer is excellent.  Inside the club, a range of photos including all the panoramas are displayed.  The club is private, so you need to become a member, but for an Old Grammarian that is both simple and cheap - Life membership costs just 10 Guineas (unchanged for 50 plus years) and the immediate reward is an annual magazine -Worth joining for that even if you live in Timbuktu!

As a second incentive, every quarter the OGs hold a meal specifically designed for the lads who were at WGS.  The meal is on the second  Tuesday in the months of December, March, June, and  September  The numbers attending have grown in recent years.  Phone the OGs in Oxford Street [(01933) 226188 ] to book.  The meal is at the Sports Club, arrive for drinks at noon.
