The KING has been graciously pleased to approve the following awards in recognition ot gallantry and devotion to duty in the execution of air operations: —
Flight Lieutenant Keith Norman CLARK (101062), R.A.F.V.R., 502 Sqn.
In April, 1945, this officer piloted an aircraft in an attack against shipping far into the Kattegat.
Flight Lieutenant Clark's target was a medium sized merchantman. As he went into the attack much anti-aircraft fire was directed at his aircraft. Nevertheless, Flight Lieutenant Clark executed a good bombing run, obtaining a hit on the fore•
deck of the vessel. His determination was typical of that which he has invariably shown in all his attacks on enemy shipping.
In addition to his work in the air, Flight Lieutenant Clark has rendered valuable service in the training of other members of the squadron.
