The Harvest Festival collections are used to support local charities. The communion money (between £400 and £500 pa) is sent overseas. The collections at Christmas, are used to support a hospital in India.
Shoe boxes are filled with childrens’ presents, a toy collection is made and a donation is made to St. Basils. The amounts given to charity in recent years, have totalled:
2003 £1831
2004 £3474 incl. a Tsunami appeal and an additional donation from church funds.
2005: £1599
2006: £1771
2007: £1,912
2008: 7% of the income to the church was distributed to charity. Details later.
2007: 8% of the money raised by the Church (£1,912) was distributed to charity.
With the aid of some personal donations to increase money to Pump Aid and Maya Child Care, the money was distributed as follows:
