The Rotary Club of Kenilworth celebrates all who run in the Two Castles Run, particularly those raising funds for charity.
You are welcome to support Rotary Charities using the sponsorship
forms provided. These donations enable us to provide support locally, nationally and internationally.
The Two Castles Run also gives you the opportunity to raise funds for your own charity.

Becki Tall is running to raise money for Diabetes UK to support her son Zac, aged 7, who has been diagnosed with Diabetes Type I and already faces 4 insulin injections a day and regular blood testing. James Todd will be running for a charity called TAG, a support group for people who have a condition called Arthrogryposis (a condition relating to stiff joints). Contact him by e-mail here.



Steve Ceney and George Taylor-Farren will be running the Two Castles Run for the charity Heartlink, based at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester. George’s youngest son William was born with the two tubes at the top of his heart the wrong way round, so he needed an operation at birth to open a hole in his heart for the blood to mix, then when he was four weeks old he had to have another operation to correct the fault. Without the support of the surgeons and nurses, William would not be here today.

Constantina Yiannakis of Warwick University Medical School will be running with other students for Students for Kids International Projects (SKIP), a national registered charity (with branches at different medical schools) set up by medical students to maintain sustainable projects for children in developing countries. The Warwick University project is in a slum in Colombo in Sri Lanka. The money raised funds a year-round feeding project with the help of Columbo medical students and women in the local community. During the summer vacation we go to teach English.



Emily Rowe is running for Partner Aid International (PAI), an organisation that partners with disadvantaged communities currently in 11 countries. PAI's largest programme is in West Darfur, Sudan, helping over 140,000 people access life saving medical care.



Dave Johnson is running for Kick-Start Initiatives Network a Kenilworth based charity working to relieve economic hardship in Zambia. Currently the charity is completing a project started in August last year to build a school in Kamfinsa. A new project has also been started to add a classroom to a school for Special Needs children in Lusaka.



Kippy Rai says “I will be raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association www.mndassociation.org in memory of my dad”. MND is a devastating and fatal disease of the nervous system and can destroy the ability to walk, talk, dress or swallow. Kippy Rai's website is here.


Deepak Chandrababu tells us that he is running with three other colleagues fromTara and Co.
Experience within the team is varied, as are the goals of each runner, but the common goal is to raise as much money as possible for charity.
Tara and Co have chosen two very worthy charities that they will be running for: Great Ormand Street Hospital and the Railway Children. We are looking for sponsorship for these charities and any amount no matter how small will help each great cause. The Tara & Co website for donations is here.


Pauline Birch is taking part in the two castles run and is hoping to raise approx £400 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. She says she usually does the Great Manchester Run but thought she would stay closer to home this year! She may be contacted by e-mail here.

Zoe Phillips is running to raise money for the Warwickshire Young Carers Project. This is a charity that helps children who provide support for an Adult or other members of a family that need help, whether it be because of illness, disability or drug/acohol problems. It offers someone to listen to problems, information and advice for the whole family, evening clubs, weekends away, days out and holidays.

Milena Kremakova, an international student at Warwick, will be running for HOST, a charity which fosters international goodwill and understanding, by giving international students in the UK invitations to spend a weekend or Christmas in someone's home.
